On October 23, five Blackhawk students — all freshmen — represented the district at the semiannual Beaver County Forensics Meet, hosted by Riverside High School.  Categories of competitive speech included extemporaneous speech, duo news broadcast, poetry recitation, and duo improvisational speech.

“It helps you learn about techniques when public speaking,” said Madi White ’23. “The competition also makes you more comfortable speaking in front of big crowds.”
