On November 3, seven Blackhawk students represented the district at the semiannual Beaver County Forensics Meet, hosted by Riverside High School. Categories of competitive speech included extemporaneous speech, duo news broadcast, speech by another, and duo improvisational speech.

Blackhawk excelled among other county schools, winning the following awards:

Senior High Extemporaneous

  • Second Place: Andrew Woods
  • Third Place: Shayne Howlett

Senior High Duo News Broadcast

  • First Place (tie): Shayne Howlett and Grace Huston
  • First Place (tie): Sofia Heimel and Andrew Woods

Senior High Speech by Another

  • First Place: Andrew Woods

Senior High Duo Improvisational
